Both of my brothers, Dave & Jeff, were, and still are the greatest guitarists and musicians I have ever had the opportunity to witness. (more on them later) I'm sorry you're stuck with the third best musician in the family. I began playing drums at the age of 7, by sneaking downstairs and banging on the skins when the guys weren’t around. Later I started playing guitars, keyboard, and whatever else I could borrow or find for cheap. I started writing song at age 10...they actually weren't that bad. (My Ma liked them) Through the years I have been in several bands, (singing, playing guitar, etc) most of which did not make it out of the basement or attic. However, I did have the great opportunity to play bass guitar, guitar and sing for the energetic and exciting local cover band OLD MIL (www.oldmil.net). It was a great pleasure to work with this group of extremely talented individuals and such a fun experience. Go check them out! Thanks Chimmy, E-Rox, Slim Pimp and
I learned to play several instruments and write songs mainly from my two older brothers. They were and will always be my heroes, my role models, my teachers, and my mentors. Thank you guys! DAVID J MEISSNER: A spiritual giant of love, life and music. My oldest brother died of leukemia in 1994 at age 32. Dave was erupting with life. He loved from deep in his soul, and he poured his heart into every inch of his music. He was the free spirit and most of what he knew he learned on his own through research and just figuring it out. Dave taught me how to play guitar, write songs, and record music. During his last year on earth, he taught us all how to live life through love and compassion. I hope I make you proud! I love you, bro!
JEFF MEISSNER: Always living the will of God. My only other brother died in a kite surfing accident in 2007 at age 40. Jeff was the very highly educated and very technical one in the family. He studied life, love, and music, and mastered all three. As far as I’m concerned, Jeff knew everything, he always had an answer on the tip of his tongue to whatever question you were asking, whether it was about God, or the origin of the pentatonic minor scale (?). He never talked about doing things, he just did them. I hope I make you proud! I love you, bro!
THE SUMMARY:
For my BROTHERS - For my KIDS
Both of my brothers have passed away. They were both incredible musicians and they were huge influences in my life. I have the opportunity to carry the music torch for the family. I am connected with them through spirituality and through music.
In this world, way too many people just settle and are not truly happy; that would be me. I want to, I mean, I WILL prove to my kids that you CAN make your dreams come true! If you have a true passion in your heart, open up the doors, run through and make it happen!
Thank you and God bless you!

...THE REST OF THE STORY:
Music has strummed through my family and my blood for generations. My grandmother played piano for silent movies way back when (Do you remember those? How do you get that on to an ipod?).
As a youngster I used to walk around the house feeling the floor vibrate as one of my two brothers jammed in the basement with their bands. (Eye Suction, The Answer, Silver Graphic...)

Another always fun experience of mine is working with Peggy Schmidt (www.heavenlysoundslive.com), an incredible vocalist, musician, and life-long friend. Quite a few years back Peggy and I started an acoustic group (Sound Elegance) and performed at many wedding ceremonies and various other occasions. You can hear Peggy’s vocals on "New day".

Both of my brothers have inspired so many and have left a huge footprint on this world in such a short time. Our family (extended as well) will be starting a foundation in both their names in the very near future. I will keep you informed.
I have been truly blessed through all the people in my life in so many ways!
I have been learning, and creating, and performing music for a long time, and have grown as a person and as a musician. These songs come straight from my heart. They uplift and inspire me, and hope they’ll do the same for you. Please enjoy.
I hope you love what your hear,
God bless!

The name???
Making something great out of something mucky!
majestic mudd is earthy fusion of:
WATER | DIRT | LIFE
Or another way of saying "God's Great Earth".
He did do a pretty good job down here, so I thought I'd give him naming rights. (sponsor fees are everlasting; life everlasting) Come on... that's a good one!
